Born and raised in London, Marianne trained in architecture in Oxford and London and graduated with a BA, MArch and diploma in Architecture. She is a fully qualified Architect registered on the Architects Registration Board (ARB).
Marianne’s French and Persian background coupled with her curiosity and interest in different cultures has ensured that she designs with a relevant and sensitive approach to context. This however does not inhibit the uniqueness or creativity of a design but allows her to work within a framework and set of constraints. Her enjoyment comes from embarking on the design journey with a client and finding the unique language of a project along the way. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to innovative solutions, she brings a human-centered approach to every project.
As co-founder of Thema Architects, established with Harry in 2021, Marianne leads the studio in exploring the dynamic relationship between architecture and interior environments. Her work is driven by a dedication to crafting spaces that not only inspire but also enhance the quality of life for those who inhabit them.
Harry was born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece and completed his architecture degree there before moving to London to work in residential and commercial sectors. After leading multiple projects as a project architect in London, as well as working on personal development projects in Greece, he believed it was time to set up his own practice.
Harry’s skills lie in the detailing, his ability of having a holistic view of a project and having deep technical knowledge. Coming from Greece, Harry believes that light or lack of sunlight can make or break your mood. He aims to open-up and take as much advantage as possible of the nature, but when not all spaces have that option, having a well thought out lighting strategy is key.
As co-founder of Thema Architects, established with Marianne in 2021, Harry leads the studio in ensuring quality design and selecting high quality materials and finishes that transform people’s mood and wellbeing. He believes that a project can always be more refined, more detailed, turned on its head and looked at from a different angle. It’s when we’ve exhausted all options that he can finally be confident with our proposal.
